Job Description
Assists administrators in the management of all technology for an Extended School Year program; performs a variety of professional duties required to provide professional technical support for computer systems and instructional applications; collaborates with local School-based Technology Specialist (SBTS) and Technology Support Specialist positions to provide student laptops ; assists with ensuring required access to copiers, LCD projectors and interactive whiteboards, including accessories; provides training, guidance, and support on the functionality of Learning Management Systems (Schoology, Google Classroom and/or Google Share Drives); troubleshoots and resolves hardware and software application issues. This position requires flexibility in serving multiple sites on an itinerant schedule.
Qualifications
Must hold a license issued by the Virginia Department of Education. Experience supporting Special Education staff in a technical specialist role, preferred. Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methods of school-based computer technology and its most effective and efficient utilization to support the functions of end-users; ability to analyze systems and applications challenges and provide resolutions; ability to provide information and training in non-technical terms to users; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
