Role Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and preparing accurate financial reports. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or a similar financial role.
  • Proven experience in banking, FinTech, payments, and treasury management.
  • Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • CPA or other relevant certifications (preferred but not required).
  • Past experience in the Big 4 is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and trial balances.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure accurate cash flow management.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Prepare tax filings, including VAT, corporate tax, and other relevant taxes.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to review financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Assist with audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Perform financial analysis to identify trends and areas for cost reduction.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
  • Perform other accounting tasks as needed.
