Postdoctoral Fellow (Paediatric Gastroenterology)
Why this role matters
The Paediatrics Gastroenterology Research Group operates within the Discipline of Paediatrics, School of Clinical Medicine, and undertakes a number several research projects with the aim to understand Paediatric Gastroenterological health and disease and to improve the health outcome for children suffering from Paediatric Gastroenterology and related conditions.
The position will lead and co-ordinate existing and new projects within the Paediatric Gastroenterology Research Group. The position will span biospecimen collection, laboratory-based activities, and generation and analyses of microbiome, metagenomic and “-omics” datasets. Other research activities will include coordination of patient recruitment, maintaining and coordinating the logistical aspects of research projects, reporting and presenting results at various research meetings, preparation of research grants and publications.
