Job Description
The New York State Wastewater Surveillance Network is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join its Center of Excellence team. The postdoctoral researcher will join a dynamic team of scientists spanning a breadth of disciplines including epidemiology, microbiology, bioinformatics, and chemistry. We seek researchers interested in wastewater-based epidemiology with experience in infectious disease modeling (required) and population-level modeling (preferred). We will consider all aspects related to wastewater-based epidemiology. The position is based in Syracuse, NY with the possibility to work remotely.
Responsibilities
Support for the Center of Excellence for the New York State Wastewater Surveillance Network Develop and implement scientific investigations in line with the objectives of the research group. Participate in lab meetings, seminars, and collaborative research discussions. Work collaboratively with other researchers and stakeholders, both within the institution and externally. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ph.D. required in a field relevant to wastewater-based epidemiology. Experience in infectious disease modeling is required.
