Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Implement the school's vision, mission, and strategic plan.
  • Ensure alignment with Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) standards.
  • Foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and inclusivity.


Academic Oversight

  • Oversee curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Monitor student performance, progress, and achievement.
  • Ensure compliance with Cambridge assessment frameworks.


Teaching and Learning:

  • Foster innovative teaching practices.
  • Support teacher professional development (e.g., Cambridge International Diplomas).
  • Ensure effective use of educational technology.


Student Well-being and Pastoral Care:

  • Ensure student welfare, safety, and inclusivity.
  • Develop and implement student support programs (e.g., counseling, mentorship).
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.


Community Engagement:

  • Build relationships with parents, alumni, and local stakeholders.
  • Promote the school's reputation and brand.
  • Develop partnerships with local businesses and organizations.


Cambridge Specific Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Cambridge International School status.
  • Coordinate Cambridge exams and assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with Cambridge standards and regulations.


Other Responsibilities:

  • Represent the school at local and international events.
  • Stay updated on educational trends and best practices.
  • Ensure school policies and procedures are up-to-date.

Requirements


Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Education or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Principal or Senior Leader in a Cambridge school.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cambridge curricula and assessment frameworks.
  • Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with international education trends and best practices.


Desirable Qualifications:

  • Cambridge International Diplomas (e.g., Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers).
  • Experience with school accreditation processes.
  • Familiarity with educational technology integration.
  • International teaching or leadership experience.
